SEEND ACOUSTIC CLUB. If you’d like to come along and show off your talents then you’ll be made more than welcome by our friendly local crowd, just let us know in advance that you’re coming, turn up by 7.45pm for a floor spot and depending on how many others turn up with instruments you might get chance to play from 2 – 5 songs and if you’re lucky (and highly entertaining). You might even get booked for a gig on the spot, it’s happened several times but you have to be able to hold our audience’s attention for 90 minutes, humour and brilliant musicianship / vocals is the key! If you’re coming a long way to play a floorspot, we ‘may’ be able to let you play an extended slot.
We rarely book performers we’ve not seen around on the circuit somewhere and only then if they have come highly recommended by someone who’s judgement we trust so bear that in mind if you were planning to contact us for a gig, we will book the occasional big name professional act if they have a national reputation and will increase the entrance price accordingly.
If you’ve never performed before but are thinking about it or you have but you want to try something new then we’d love you to come along and have a go, all our audience and fellow musicians know how much guts it takes to get in front of a crowd and will show you the utmost respect and even give you constructive criticism, if you really want it!
